Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 July 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the website at cortavia.sbs or by engaging Cortavia to carry out any of the services described on this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit an enquiry.
These terms apply to individual users and to representatives of organisations acting on their behalf. Where a separate written service agreement exists between Cortavia and a client, that agreement governs in the event of any conflict with these terms.
2. Description of services
Cortavia offers three categories of geospatial work: geospatial data labelling (preparation of annotated imagery and vector datasets); map feature extraction (model-based derivation of spatial features from aerial and satellite imagery); and spatial analytics capability builds (structured programmes to establish in-house GIS analysis practices within an organisation).
Services are delivered to planning consultancies, utilities, estate groups and other organisations that work with spatial data. The website is informational; actual service engagements are governed by a written scope agreed between the parties before work begins.
3. Eligibility and user obligations
You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and, where acting on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind that organisation. You agree to provide accurate information in any enquiry form or correspondence and to update that information if it changes.
You must not use this website for any purpose that is unlawful or that would damage the reputation or interests of Cortavia or any third party.
4. Enquiries, scopes and payments
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not constitute an order or create a binding obligation on either party. Cortavia will respond with questions or a draft scope outline. Work begins only after a written scope — covering deliverables, timeline, pricing in Malaysian Ringgit and payment terms — has been agreed by both parties.
Indicative prices shown on this website (RM 650 for data labelling, RM 2,400 for feature extraction, RM 4,700 for a capability build) are starting figures based on typical project sizes. Final pricing is set in the written scope and may vary depending on study area, data volume and specific requirements.
5. Changes and cancellations
Any changes to an agreed scope must be requested in writing and confirmed by Cortavia before additional work proceeds. Where a project is cancelled by the client after production has commenced, Cortavia reserves the right to invoice for work completed to the point of cancellation, in proportion to the agreed total. Cancellations before production has started are not subject to a fee unless the written scope specifies otherwise.
Cortavia may suspend or terminate a project if payment obligations are not met in accordance with the agreed payment terms, or if the client provides information that is materially inaccurate or misleading.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, design elements, graphics and code — is the property of Cortavia or its licensors. You may view and print content for personal reference but may not reproduce, redistribute or adapt it for commercial use without prior written permission.
For completed project deliverables, ownership of the output layers and documentation transfers to the client upon receipt of full payment, in accordance with the terms set out in the project scope. Cortavia retains the right to reference the project type and general geographic area (without disclosing client-specific data) in its own materials.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website or its underlying systems.
- Transmit malicious code, conduct automated scraping beyond normal browsing, or interfere with the website's operation.
- Use the website to collect or harvest personal data about other users.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting an enquiry.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
This website and its content are provided on an "as available" basis. Cortavia makes reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and current but does not warrant that it is free of errors, complete or suitable for any particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by the laws of Malaysia, Cortavia's liability to you in connection with your use of this website or any services provided is limited to the fees actually paid by you for the relevant project. Cortavia is not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Third-party links
This website may contain links to external websites operated by third parties. Those sites are not under Cortavia's control. Cortavia does not endorse or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices or reliability of any linked site. Accessing a linked site is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms or the services described on this website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, without prejudice to any right to seek interim relief in another jurisdiction where Cortavia or the client has assets.
11. Changes to these terms
Cortavia may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to bring the update to your attention.
